I didn’t do as good with the non-technology weekend as I had hoped. It’s just to hard not to check e-mail (glad I did tough, I had some Pampered Chef questions), google things and just keep up on FB! I did ok… but there is  a lot of room for improvement!

Overall I wish it was still the weekend and I wasn’t back in my cube 😦 It was great to catch up with friends in Maine this weekend. Lots of talking, snacking, drinking and laughing!

While driving up I spotted a hot air balloon! How fun. (I know not safe to take pics while driving.) Someday.

Breakfast pizza… why not?!?! This was REALLY good!

Wine Tasting at Blacksmith in South Casco, Maine. The best wine I have found in driving distance! Granted their grapes aren’t grown in Maine, but still it was pretty amazing:)

A quick whoopie pie stop! I just couldn’t resist! (On the right, I’m holding a 72 oz or 4.5 pound whoopie pie… no words!)

Lots of lounging…

pretty flowers..

and some crazy photography moves…

On my way home I stopped to check in with the bride and groom. That would be Heather and Chris, who got married in April! It was sooo good to see them and hang with Heather’s sisters’ family too!

(Sadly no photos:()

Wish there was re-play button for this weekend! Loved every second of it!

Now back to the 9-5 life and the GYM – I’m actually a bit excited to workout.. I have a lot of extra calories to burn!

Happy Monday:)

I realized that for those of you who read this daily, my being away, was probably quite boring for you. I’m sorry! I’m back and won’t be going anywhere for a while.

I was back in Newport this weekend for a very special Bachorlette  Weekend. There was lots of dancing, singing, wine tasting, wine and truffle pairing, eating and chatting!

Dancing – The 5th Element – Newport, RI

Wine Tasting – Westport Rivers, Westport Mass

The Bride 🙂

Sakonnet Vineyards – Little Compton, RI

Wine and Truffle Pairing – Newport Cellar, Newport RI

There was also unpictured Ma’s Coffee runs, walk/run around Sachest Point, swimming/hot tubbing, and lots of talk about running races! (More on races in another post soon!)

The weekend ended officially ended at 5:45AM Monday morning when Heather and I went to a spinning class taught by a Mom we used to work for, who has turned into a great friend!

What a great weekend! I can’t wait for the wedding weekend!

The entire bridal party + Heather’s Mom!

So with all the fun festivities of the weekend, I must admit I’m feeling a bit heavier than I did on Friday! There is a program called revolution at the gym, that I have been eyeing for months. It’s $99 and lasts for 8 weeks. You get a bunch of stuff for the $99, 1 personal training session, 1 Pilates session, books, dvds, before & after measurements & photos, etc. Still I didn’t want to shell out that at this time. HOWEVER, on Groupon the other day, they were offering this for $48 for a 24-hour period. I jumped on it! Needless to say, before measurements and photos will be taken this Saturday! So in my head I have 2 days to stuff my face.. LOL… NOT! I am a bit relaxed on what goes in my mouth, but don’t want to fall of the train entirely! I’m a bit nervous, and don’t want to mess this one up! I’ve been able to keep off a certain amount of weight for over a year.. it’s time to add to that number:)

I’m excited to be a playing part in The Edge Revolution. Watch out!!

Do you ever binge or go off the charts drastically before started a new program or schedule?

First of all… can I just say.. how cute is Remi?!?!? I come home from work and find him nestled in my Vera bag! Glad he was comfy and cozy all day..

and onward to dinner. I had the craziest day ever at work! Learning new design software is always exciting, but today it was just down right exhausting! After a quick jaunt at the gym I came home and made the quickest pizza of my life. Meet my new favorite… THE GARBAGE PIZZA.

The Garbage Pizza

  • Flat Out – Or any pita bread
  • 1/2 avocado
  • dandelion greens
  • 1/4 hot red pepper (or to your liking)
  • 1/2 yellow squash
  • 1 black bean burger
  • silvered crystalized ginger
  • silvered dried apricots
  • fat-free mozzarella
  • oil, salt and pepper

1. Dice, chop and slice everything above. Gentley blend avocado with fork.

2. Spread avocado on flat-out, spread dandelion greens, yellow squash, red pepper, ginger, apricots and mozzarella. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle S and P.

3. Bake at 350 for 15ish minutes. Place burger on tray too!  Watch it! Don’t let it burn.

4. Cut burger up! Place on top and enjoy!

Anything would probably work on this pizza. It was sooo delish :0) Didn’t realize the red pepper I had chopped was a HOT one until my first bite! Ouch. I never know what I”m going to get in my crop share each week. I have learned my lesson.. always make sure what your cutting up!

and I had to pair it was some wine..

Absolutely wonderful after a long day! Light, fresh, crisp and refreshing!  Now it’s time to list some amazing things on eBay!
